Greater Green Triangle GPET :
A locally based training organisation. In addition to providing a GP owned and driven training program for registrars GGT GPET also provide support for International Medical Graduates in our region. Small group learning sessions are held on a regular basis to support doctors undertaking fellowship exams.

Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health :
A partnership between Flinders University and Deakin University, Greater Health was established in 2000 and is supported by the Australian Governement UDRH and PHC RED programs. The Department undertakes an integrated program of research education and training.
The Mount Gambier office complex, recently completed in partnership with the Flinders University Rural Clinical School, was opened in June 2007 by Hon. Tony Abbott.
Workforce, Pubic Health and Health Service research are the main areas of focus for the Department, bringing together major Academic institutions, health agencies, professional organisations and community groups to promote Greater Health in the region.

Flinders University Rural Clinical School :
Flinders University Rural Clinical School is funded by the Australian Federal Government as part of a nationwide strategy to improve the health of people in rural and remote areas by increasing the number of health professionals in those regions, encouraging students from regional and remote communities to enrol in training for health professions and by making training more accessible in rural and remote areas.

The Prevocational General Practice Placements Program :
The Prevocational General Practice Placements Program expands upon the success of its predecessor program the Rural and Remote Area Placement Program (RRAPP.) The PGPPP represents an opportunity for postgraduate year (PGY) 1 to 3 doctors to gain exposure to rural and remote practice.
Providing junior doctors with experience in this specialised area of medicine, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) manages 140 training placements across Australia. The placements are an average of 12 weeks duration but in some remote locations can be up to 26 weeks.

RACGP National Rural Faculty :
Provides advocacy and support for rural GPs. Membership is open to members who are actively engaged in rural practice, have significant past experience in rural practice or have an interest in rural practice.
